Emergency observation of volcanic eruptions

Outline of emergency observations of volcanic eruptions

The Integrated Program for Next Generation Volcanic Research and Human Resource Development will conduct emergency observations of volcanic eruptions as required based on its framework in cases where precursory phenomena of a volcanic eruption are detected or where an eruption actually occurs. The obtained observation data and results will not only be utilized for research in each task of this project but will also be provided proactively as reference information for disaster preparedness organizations and local governments to contribute to prevention and mitigation of volcanic eruption disasters.
